MICROBE‑LIFT® Enhances Vannamei Shrimp Growth and Survival
Location: Hoang Mai, Quynh Luu, Nghe An, Vietnam
Project Type: Water Quality Management
Year: 2020
This case study documents a 2020 trial conducted at Anh Quang Farm in Nghe An, a northern coastal region of Vietnam, to evaluate the effectiveness of Microbe-Lift® microbial products in shrimp aquaculture. The farm operates polyurethane-lined tanks ranging from 600–800 m² with a water depth of 1.2 m, following a two-stage culture system from juvenile to grow-out.
Microbe-Lift® Aqua-C, Aqua-SA, and Aqua-N1 were applied to one selected 600 m² juvenile tank, while all other tanks continued using locally produced bacteria as controls. Approximately 750,000 Vannamei post-larvae were stocked in the treated tank to compare water quality management and shrimp performance against conventional bacterial treatments commonly used in Vietnam.

MICROBE-LIFT® Technology Increases Yield & Size of Shrimp
Location: Mississippi GCC, USA
Project Type: Water Quality Management
Year: 2001
This case study reports a pond trial conducted at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College in 2001 to evaluate the effectiveness of MICROBE‑LIFT® Technology in enhancing the growth and yield of freshwater shrimp (Macrobrachium rosenbergii). Two 0.10-acre ponds were stocked with juvenile prawns, with one pond treated using MICROBE‑LIFT® according to manufacturer recommendations and the other serving as a control.
Over a 125-day growing season, the treated pond maintained higher dissolved oxygen levels and more stable alkalinity and pH, leading to improved water quality. These conditions supported better shrimp growth and survival, demonstrating the product’s potential to increase production efficiency and help farmers maintain profitability.

MICROBE‑LIFT® Increases Sea Bass Hatchery Fry Survival
Location: Pasir Ris, Singapore
Project Type: Water Quality & Fry Survival
Year: 2010
This case study reports a hatchery trial at Marine Life Aquaculture Farm in Singapore to evaluate Microbe-Lift®/Aqua-C for improving seabass larval survival. Marine hatcheries often face high larval mortality due to poor water quality, organic waste buildup, and pathogenic microbes.
In the trial, one larval tank was treated with Microbe-Lift®/Aqua-C, while two tanks served as controls. The treated tank showed better water quality, higher dissolved oxygen, lower ammonia, and less sludge, requiring fewer water changes. Consequently, larval stress was reduced, and survival rates doubled compared to the control tanks, demonstrating the product’s effectiveness in enhancing hatchery performance.
